As a gamer later in life (45+) I found the primary issue I had was playing this on a Switch Lite. I would recommend a Console or PC with a Good Controller. If you have tried a boss more than 20 times in a row take a break or a day and try again over a couple of days you will win.
As a gamer later in life (45+) I would recommend going slow, killing 1 enemy at a time and not running through at it will frustrate and is designed to punish careless mistakes. I would recommend guides only for when you get stuck. Go slow, break up game play to 1 hour chucks.
As a gamer later in life, this was a challenging game and took around twice as long as suggested on How long to beat. I would recommend when taking this on you focus only on this game for muscle memory and break it up into 1 hour chucks over a couple of days until you finish it.
